The Full-scaled Experimental Study on the Tapered Steel Beam with Non-Compact Web Section

Abstract
In this paper was evaluated the applicability of the Korean Building Code (KBC 2013) by performing the full-scaled experiment on the structural strength of the tapered beam with the non-compact web section. The failure mode of the tapered beam in the exper-iments was determined by the lateral-torsional buckling strength, and the reliability of the optimization design program has been con-firmed through the similarity between the analytic and the experimental results. The flexural strength of the tapered beam is probable to be determined according to the equations of the KBC (2013) because the experimental results are very similar to those from the equations of the KBC (2013).

요지
이 논문에서는 변단면 부재 설계용 자동화프로그램에 의해 설계된 비콤팩트 웨브를 가진 변단면 보의 구조 성능에 대해 실물크기로 실험을 실시하여 현행 국내 규정의 적용성을 검토하였다. 실험을 실시한 변단면 보의 파괴양상은 횡-비틀림 좌굴 성능에 의해 결정되었으며, 탄성해석결과와 실험결과가 매우 유사하여 최적설계자동화프로그램의 신뢰성을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 현행 기준인 KBC(2013)에 의해 변단면 보의 휨강도를 산정한 결과는 실제 실험결과와 매우 유사하며, 이를 이용하여 변단면 보의 휨 성능을 정확하게 산정할 수 있다.
