Landslide and Debris-Flow Simulation Based on Pre-Development Geographic Information Data

Abstract
Umyeonsan has been an important place since prehistoric lives. Today, it has become an area where many citizens of Seoul want to live as a result of its environment, which is adjacent to downtown Seoul but is nature-friendly. However, due to heavy rain in 2011, landslides occurred in the area of Umyeonsan, causing damage to property and claiming many lives. In this study, the terrain of the Umyeosan area before it underwent development was restored using the map produced by the Chosun governor's office during the Japanese colonial period, and the risk of landslides and debris-flow was analyzed using this restored terrain. For the analysis, the SINMAP and Debris Avalanche models, which are GIS-based analysis models, were used. As a result, it was confirmed that the hazardous area with a slope stability coefficient of 1 or less was distributed extensively between the 8th ridge and the 5th ridge. It was found that several roads and apartment complexes were located in places at which ridges and valleys existed previously, and they were therefore located in the path of debris-flows.

요지
우면산 일대는 선사시대부터 중요한 삶의 터전이었으며, 오늘날에는 서울 도심에 인접하면서도 개발이 덜 된 자연환경을 갖춘 입지요건으로 인하여 많은 서울시민들이 살고 싶어 하는 지역으로 되었다. 그러나 지난 2011년 집중호우로 인해 우면산 일대에 산사태로 인하여 인명 및 재산 피해가 많이 발생하였다. 본 연구에서는 일제강점기 조선총독부에서 제작했었던 도엽을 이용하여 우면산 일대 개발이전의 지형을 복원하였고, 이를 이용하여 산사태 및 토석류에 대한 위험도를 분석하였다. 분석을 위해 GIS 기반의 해석모형인 SINMAP과 Debris Avalanche 모형을 이용하였다. 모의결과 우면산 8부 능선부터 5부 능선 사이에서 사면안정계수가 1 이하인 위험지역이 집중적으로 분포하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이와 함께 도로와 많은 아파트 단지가 과거에 능선과 계곡이 있던 위치에 자리하고 있었고, 토석류의 흐름경로에 위치하고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
